Translucent Pearl Liquid Polymer Clay by Sculpey 2 fl. oz.
Translucent Pearl Liquid Sculpey is a liquid polymer clay that is also a bakeable transfer and color medium with many creative uses. When artists oil paints are mixed with it, it can be used as an enamel, a glaze or a backfilling compound. When pigments or mica powders are mixed with it, it can be a stipple, a metallic glaze or a grout for polymer clay mosaics. Projects such as stained glass effect suncatchers and window clings are also easy to make and bake.
- Twist cap for precise flow control – open completely to fill mold. Open half way for other detail work.
- Gently stir before using.
- Strong and flexible after baking making it perfect for home décor, jewelry, scrapbooking and beyond.
- To thin - add Sculpey Clay Softener until desired consistency is reached.
- To thicken – pour into a cup and let sit out overnight
- Add items such as glow powder, glitter, spices, dried flowers and metal pieces to add interest to your creations before baking!
- Excellent leveling properties, which allow it to be baked in sheets and poured into jewelry findings.
Instructions:
Bake at 275 °F (130 °C) for 15 – 30 minutes.
DO NOT EXCEED THE ABOVE TEMPERATURE OR RECOMMENDED BAKING TIME. DO NOT MICROWAVE.
Please make sure your work area is covered and you are not working on an unprotected surface. We recommend working on cutting matt, wax paper, metal baking sheet, or disposable foil. Uncured clay may damage unprotected furniture or finished surfaces. Be sure to cover your crafting area appropriately.
Using In Molds:
To create clear pieces using Liquid Sculpey, start by baking the mold at 250°F for 30 minutes. Allow the mold to cool and remove the pieces. Next, place the pieces on an oven-safe surface and rebake them at 325°F for 20 minutes to achieve maximum clarity. If you plan to use pigments or mica powders, make sure they are appropriate for the recommended Sculpey baking temperatures.
